Virtual Field Trip Format Presented at ESA's 6th Annual Life Discovery Conference: Education Share Fair

Screen Shot 2021-01-29 at 2.24.07 PM.png

UCLA postdoctoral researcher Maura Palacios and CALeDNA Project Manager Miroslava Munguia shared their progress on virtual field trips for students at the 6th annual Life Discovery Conference hosted by the Ecological Society of America. At the Education Share Fair, these CALeDNA representatives discussed ways to keep students engaged by hosting a livestream at their field sites. Inviting science professionals as guest speakers gives students a new perspective of a site. Instead of pre-recording sessions, live video provides students the opportunity to guide the education team on site to explore their own interests.

Slides to the presentation can be accessed here. To get a recording of the session, please email us at uc.caledna@gmail.com
