Protecting our River: LA River Sampling Starts Soon

Screen Shot 2020-10-20 at 9.51.26 PM.png

Protecting our River is an eDNA biodiversity collaboration on the Los Angeles River to understand the biodiversity of what organisms live, move, and use the area. With almost a dozen collaborations ranging from city departments to local organizations, this project invites citizen/community scientists to explore their local ecosystem and share their perspective online via artwork or creative writing.

Due to the pandemic, all in-person events have been cancelled until further notice. However, our team is working hard to develop new, virtual ways to stay engaged and learn more about native ecosystems. To learn more about our project, head to our website at http://www.protectingourriver.org
