Huge thanks to LA Waterkeeper RAFT for letting us join them for LA River monitoring! In September, CALeDNA members collected soil and water samples following the LA Waterkeeper protocol along Compton Creek, one of the many tributaries feeding into the river. Volunteers helped record the depth and width of the water, collect macroinvertebrates like dragonflies and crayfish, and updated us on upcoming projects for the river. Stay tuned to see what organisms we identify in our eDNA results!
